워~워~ 일단 고민은 잠시 접어두시구요^^
사용으로 인해 태아에게 기형이나 심각한 손상을 초래하는 약물이라면 애초에 OTC (처방없이 구입할 수 있는 일반의약품) 으로 판매가 될 수 없어요~  님처럼 임신초기에 임신인줄 모르고 사용하는 여성들이 얼마나 많겠어요?

임신/수유 중에 태아에게 영향을 미칠 수 있는 약물들은 그 위험도에 따라 카테고리화되서 잘~ 정리가 되어있습니다.
구글에서 pregnancy category 로 검색하면 다양한 정보가 있지요.

임신카테고리는 A,B,C.D.X 로 5단계가 있는데 벤조일 퍼록사이드는 요 카테고리에서 C 에 해당합니다.
또다른 여드름 연고용 성분인 레조시놀,  역시 C 에 해당하구요.  C 의 정의를 보자면....

결론부터 말하자면 아직 인체에 대한 확실한 연구결과는 없습니다.
즉 완전히 안전하다! 라고 말할수는 없지만 (그렇기때문에 가급적 피하라고 말을 하는것이죠) 그렇다고 지금까지 확연하게 드러난 위험성도 없습니다.  그래서 종합적으로는 A,B,C 정도까지는 안전한 종류로 분류합니다.

그러나 카테고리 C 라고 모두 같게 보지는 않구요...
여드름연고를 기준으로 볼때  대표적인 OTC 드럭인 벤조일 퍼록사이드까지는 안전한쪽으로 구분을 짓지만 같은 카테고리 C 중에서도 처방전에 의해 구입가능한 트렌티노인,아다팔렌(디페린)  등은 가급적 사용을 하지 않도록 하죠.

그러므로 걱정을 덜기위해서라면 임신 가능여성이라면 경구용 여드름약은 피하고..
바르는 연고역시 카테고리 B 에서에서 사용하는게 좋겠죠? ;;
물론 임신을 알게된 상태에서는 그때부터 피하시면 됩니다. 
패닉하실것까지는 없습니다.  카테고리 D 에 해당되는 약물도 임신초기에 사용하였을때 그 위험도는 매우 낮다는 연구결과도 있으니까요.

그리고 백만번도 더 넘게 언급되는 얘기지만...그냥 "화장품' 안에들어간 레티놀, BHA 등은 안심하고 쓰셔도 됩니다. -_-;
